Darweze, la puerta del infierno, un agujero en el medio del desierto de Karukum. Turkmeninstan. Buenos días!
Derweze, also known as the door to hell, is a 70 meter wide hole in the middle of the Karakum desert in Turkmenistan. The hole was formed in 1971 when a team of soviet geologists had their drilling rig collapse when they hit a cavern filled with natural gas. In an attempt to avoid poisonous discharge, they decided to burn it off, thinking that the gas would be depleted in only a few days. Derweze is still burning today

Progreso: Lluvia artificial creada en en desierto cerca de Dubai
Artificial rain created in desert near Dubai.
Swiss company Meteo Systems has been testing their ‘Weathertec’ system in the deserts of the United Arab Emirates, and claims to have had some success. Over the four warmest months, ambient humidity reached 30% (the minimum required for the system to work) on 74 days. The system produced rain on 52 of those days, despite none being forecast.
The science behind the system is closely guarded, but it is known that large ionisers are used to pump electrons into the atmosphere. In high temperatures, they rise with the heat, and water molecules then start condensing around them, which produces the rain clouds.
